La Faye - ertolaye

At the top of a hill in the middle of a natural park “Livradois-Forez”, the Toscana of the Auvergne, the small farm, which dates back to the 18th century is a place to relax or to participate in the many activities available.
The place is ideal to radiate towards the La Chaise Dieu, Le Puy en Velay, the valley of paper mills and Richard de Bas, The Castle of Ravel, the Puy De Dome and the Volcanoes Park.

When the weather allows we eat either in the garden or in the covered yard.
The lounge is large and comfortable. The ideal place to make a trip to La Chaise Dieu, Le Puy en Velay, the valley of paper mills and Richard de Bas, The castle of Ravel, The Puy De Dôme and theVolcanoes Park.
In the garden there is also a Jacuzzi. Facilities for swimming, paragliding, hang gliding, horse riding, mountain climbing, obstacle courses from tree to tree, rafting, canoeing, 3 ski resorts for alpine, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing.
Within the area are typical eating facilities and restaurants at reasonable prices.

Vertolaye is situated between Thiers and Ambert
Comming from Thiers – after Olliergues – you’ll see the indication Vertolaye. A little bit further at your left you‘ll have the junction with the indication Vertolaye Centre.
Don’t take the road to the centre. +/- 200 metres further between 2 houses there is a little road on your left with the indication “La Faye”.
Take that road, that climbs a lot.
You’ll arrive at a crossroad “ T” , here you turn to the right and then you split off on the left , there is an indicator “La Faye”.
This part of the road even climbs a lot more.
Nearly at the top you’ll have on your right a little farm, with a cross, the house at the left with a small front yard is the place to be.
